The effect of each of the processes on improving chemical purity was examined sequentially, and the end product purity of the beneficiated sands compared with commercially available silica sands used in various industrial applications, emphasizing potential utilization in high technology products. Processed samples were analyzed using X-ray fluorescence or by the induced coupled plasma technique. Atomic absorption was used for some elements.
