Book Description: Contains Flake's family history research, Flake's personal collection of quotes, personal papers, a suitcase, and scriptural research. The collection also contains copies of news articles pertaining to Flake's terms as an officer in historical societies and the Utah Library Association, and pertaining to donations,acquisitions, and feature articles on the Special Collections section of the Harold B. Lee Library. There are several certificates recognizing Flake's awards and honors. The collection contains Flake's Brigham Young University salary papers from 1960-1994. These papers are restricted until the year 2028. Also included in the collection is a variety of photos (mostly unidentified) from Chad's life including the following: 131 British mission (1949-1951) photographs, nine graduation photographs, twenty-one family and childhood photos, twenty-seven post-mission/career/travel photos. In the collection are the original bound drafts of Flake's A Mormon Bibliography 1830-1930. There are eight bound portions to the original draft of the bibliography. The last item is a landscape painting that hung in Flake's office in Special Collections. Although the first known collection date is 1949, the collection holds a few undated photographs that were taken before 1949. Collection dated from 1940 to 2003.
