John Davis (ca.1560-1626), a son of James, married twice, and was the father of James, Thomas and John Davis, brothers who immigrated from Acton Turville, England to Newbury, Massachusetts. John Davis (1601- 1675) of Newbury was the immigrant ancestor of the author.
