His two sons, Thomas, a builder, and David, a peruke maker, went to Newport, Rhode Island, where they had many descendants, including Samuel Vinson's progeny. Other families treated for two or more generations are Yates, Weeden, Bissell, Swinburne, Munro, Bull, Townsend, Tilley, and Irish. The fourth generation began adding an e, so the name became Melville"--
