Book Description: The Economic Report of the President has been prepared annually by the Council of Economic Advisers since 1947. The theme of this year's Economic Report of the President is "To Recover, Rebalance, and Rebuild." Additionally, strengthening and expanding the middle class, reforming the financial sector, promoting American manufacturing and American energy are at the root of the Obama Administration's strategy to reestablish an economy that is built to last. The Economic Report of the President provides an overview on the Nation's economic conditions. The theme of this year's Economic Report of the President is "To Recover, Rebalance, and Rebuild." It includes the Annual Report of the Council of Economic Advisers. Each year, the Council of Economic Advisers submits its Annual Report in accordance of the Employment Act of 1946 as amended by the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978. Topics in this report include: The Year in Review and the Years Ahead; Restoring Fiscal Responsibility; Stabilizing and Healing the Housing Market; International Trade and Finance; Jobs and Income; Preserving and Modernizing the Safety Net; and Improving the Quality of Life Through Smart Regulation, Innovation, Clean Energy, and Public Investment.
