The bulk of the letters date from 1862, and are dated from Baltimore and Harpers Ferry; one letter from 1863 is dated Harrisburg. The letters describe conditions in camp and his hard work; one mentions the beauty of the landscape of the Shenandoah valley. The collection also includes a tintype of Fuller, his commissions as second and first lieutenant, and typed transcripts of some of the letters.
