An appropriation for the Chicago Light House will pass the State House, which means he will work at the lighthouse for the summer months. He states that Duncan has been appointed to the Naval School [Annapolis] and prefers this to West Point, which he fears for the health of Duncan's chest during the West Point winter. Graham writes that he and his family plan to travel to Philadelphia in a few days.
