Cook papers include a completed Korean War Veterans Survey questionnaire describing his training, military leadership, military discipline, military-civilian relations, morale, his combat experience, Republic of Korea soldiers, the distribution of awards and decorations, and his post-war experiences. The collection includes four folders of Cook's letters to his parents, brother and sisters from 26 December 1951 to 19 December 1952, a memorandum from Headquarters, 2nd Division Artillery, APO 248, dated 13 October 1952 commending the actions of the field artillery battalions, and a menu from the USNS General A.W. Brewster from 15 December 1952. A brief memoir titled: Some thoughts on war written by Cook on 23 February 1991 is also included in this collection.
