Book Description: A boy named Tondo Tendo was chosen at the young age of 2 years old to become the Vessel of the Black Mane Lion in the kingdom of Kiga. He grows up with the ambition to become a well known and powerful ninja so he go through many trials that build his foundation. He enrolled into the Shinobi School at the age of 5 and trained under professionals in the basics of Ninjutsu and the fundamentals of being a ninja. He makes some friends, one prominent friend being Miku Tendo, his first and closest friend, and even made some rivals in class. During his free time after school, he would often train with his mother, leading him to become more advanced than his classmates. Once he graduates at the age of 9, Tondo would go onto enroll into the Ninja Academy in the capital city of Kiga, Shiloh. There, he would further improve his skills and even learn how to utilize illusion techniques, becoming the best Genjutsu student in his grade. After taking his final exams, and passing as the 3rd best student in his whole grade after 2 years, Tondo is put on a team with the prince of the kingdom, Rafael Kakotori, and the second best student of their grade, Mindy Sentake.
