This book describes ascomycetes on palms following a study in Australia, Brunei and Hong Kong. Many ascomycetes genera are reviewed and more than 50 new species are described. Species are illustrated with numerous light micro- graphs. Many of the genera included are not confined to palms and it is hoped that this book will provide a basis for studying and identifying genera of temperate and tropical fungi. We hope that mycologists can use this book and enjoy studying microfungi without the frustrations of lacking literature.
