Quaternary Geology of the Stratford-Conestogo Area, Ontario by P. F. Karrow PDF Summary

Book Description: The Stratford-Conestogo area is mid-way between Lakes Huron and Ontario in southwestern Ontario, and lies between the cities of Stratford and Kitchener. Because of its central location, it was subject to the action of the Huron, Georgian Bay, Ontario, and Erie ice lobes at various times and when the glacier was at its maximum, ice flowed across the area from the northeast. Tazewellian Catfish Creek Till (sandy texture) is found throughout the area under as many as three or four Cary tills, usually of a clayey or silty texture. As many as three pre-Tazewellian tills (probably all of Wisconsinian age) occur in the eastern part of the area.
