T. C. Gould, of the said District, hath deposited in this Office the Title of a Book, the right whereof he claims as Proprietor, in the words following to wit: "Report of the Trial of Friends, in the City of Philadelphia, June, 1828, before the Honourable Edward King, Esq. President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, for the first Judicial District of Pennsylvania: or the case of Edmund Shotwell, Joseph Lukins, Charles Middleton, and two others, who had been, by the Major of the City, committed to prison, whence they were brought up by Habeas Corpus, June 16th, 1828. Taken in Short-hand, by M. T. C. Gould, Stenographer. In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, intituled "An act for the encouragement of learning by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned." And also to the Act intituled "An Act supplementary to an Act, intituled, "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical prints."
