The collection is housed in three boxes; the first contains manuscripts of Lowry's novels, the second and third contains manuscripts of short stories, galleys, proofs and mock-ups, original ink illustrations, press clippings, advertisements, Lowry's "Little Man Press" publications, and series of correspondence to and from Lowry. The manuscripts and galleys provide an interesting study of the progression of drafts through the process of publication, and there is considerable autobiographical material in the self-published volumes.
