Stanley Edward also talks about his experiences drilling for oil in Jamison Field in the 1950s, his purchase of farms and raising sheep, goats, and cattle, the problems of farmers and ranchers, his son, Stanley Edward Adams, Jr.'s activities in the Texas banking business, his experiences during the Depression in Coke and Tom Green Counties, and his civic and trade association activities. Elsie Adams discusses her family background, her experiences growing up on a farm near Miles, Texas, teaching at Klattenhoff and Robert Lee public schools, the procedures of abstract companies, the different types of abstracts and the purpose of title policies, as well as the charges for abstract work, her entry into the real estate business, advertising the businesses, her civic activities, and the development of Lake Spence.
