Book Description: David Mitchell (1768-1833) came to America from Ireland in 1786, settling in Virginia. He married Margaret Mitchel and moved to Mifflin County, Pennsylvania in 1794; they had two sons, James and Thomas. After Margaret's death in 1808, David married Elizabeth Steere, moved to Walker Township, Centre County about 1810, then to Clearfield County in 1825. David and Elizabeth had nine children, one of whom, John, left Pennsylvania for Kansas. John's descendants can be found in most of the fifty states and in Canada.
