A RELATIVISTIC NAVIGATION BASED SYSTEM by Dr. Marco A.V. Bitetto PDF Summary

Book Description: At present, the rate of research and development in the field of design and development of systems that produce and store antimatter, it is extremely possible that in less than one hundred years it will be possible to traverse interstellar space via matter-antimatter based propulsion systems. Moreover, such matter-antimatter based propulsion systems have been theorized to enable spacecraft to travel at speeds as high as half the speed of light. Consequently, such matter- antimatter based propulsion systems will force their design engineers and scientists to deal with the strange world of relativistic effects that the spacecraft will have to contend with. Hence, in the pages that follow, I shall attempt to enlighten the reader to the nature of such strange effects that make conventional space based navigation impossible. I shall also attempt to discuss a possible solution to the problem of near light speed interstellar space travel.
