Questions upon questions that you will find the answers to in this book. This book is a collection of two poems and a fairy tale, both literary genres that have been repeatedly dismissed as old fashioned if not obsolete over the years. Obviously, I the author disagree, and will leave it up to my young readers to decide whether they are drawn to rhymes and tales of kings, witches and heroes/heroines or not. The fact that many of us parents and grandparents can still recall poems we were asked to recite at school decades ago is best proof of a poem's magical power. And when it comes to teaching a child what it is that makes us human there is no better way than wrapping the message up in a mystical tale. These days many things children engage with are colourful, bright and noisy, thus overwhelming their senses. With my black and white illustrations I therefore leave it up to the reader's imagination to add colour to the worlds I have created hoping that this will allow children to dive even deeper into the stories. Recommended for 5 to 10 year olds.
