Oatman is in the foothills on the western side of the Black Mountains, at an elevation of about 3,000 feet. It is on a paved highway about 30 miles west of Kingman, the principal distributing center for mining supplies in the district, and 25 miles from Topock, on the Colorado River. Both latter towns are stations on the Santa FE Railraod ; Oatman has no rail connection.
