This text recorded the detailed accounts of money borrowed from Athena and "the other gods" during the years 426/5 to 423/2 B.C. It is presented in full in the first half of this book. The second half moves on to explore other pieces of evidence for the Athenian calendar, senatorial and civil, during the Peloponnesian War.
